The Feeling

406 - The house number that inspired the restaurant.   Located in the historic Thomas Dowling house, The 406 blends old and new, past and present.  With towering columns and wrap around porches, it's one of the oldest homes remaining in the area, built in 1896. The building underwent a major restoration with help from grant funding through Florida's Division of Historical Resources, saving it from certain demolition.  It was converted into a commercial space so future generations could continue to enjoy this historical resource, and we take great pride to now be its caretakers. 

Each dining area has its own unique character, with fine dining in the main house, casual barside on the converted back porch, and relaxed deck dining overlooking the gardens.  It's a place to gather, linger, and savor time with friends or family.  We also offer facility rental and on-site catering for special events, including parties, showers, business luncheons, even weddings.  We believe that your special event deserves a special venue and attention to make it memorable.  Use the contact form to message us or simply give us a call to talk with our event coordinator.
